Man charged with breaking seven house windows and six vehicle windows with metal rebar
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Anthony Levern Tumblin, 59, was arrested yesterday after allegedly breaking seven windows on a house and six windows on a vehicle because he was angry that he was locked out of the house.
At about 4:12 p.m. on June 7, a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to the 1600 block of NE 5th Place and reported that Tumblin and the owner of the vehicle had been arguing about their relationship when she locked him out of the house. The owner of the vehicle said he grabbed a piece of metal rebar and started breaking the windows of the house, which belongs to a different victim. Tumblin then allegedly went to the vehicle and started breaking the windows.
A neighbor reportedly heard the argument, went outside, and saw Tumblin breaking the house windows and then breaking the vehicle’s windows. A second witness also told the officer he went outside and saw Tumbling breaking the vehicle’s windows.
The officer reported that the damage to the house was estimated at $3,000 and the damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
Post Miranda, Tumblin reportedly said immediately that he admitted to everything and that he had damaged the windows because he was upset.
Tumblin has been charged with two counts of property damage over $1,000, a felony. He has no local criminal history but has several battery convictions out of St. Lucie County. Judge Susan Miller-Jones set bail at $10,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

maybe just jimmy a window open next time?
He decided to Anthony it instead.
Not a contractor, but $3k seems a bit low for 7 house windows. Maybe the Popo didn’t include labor.
