Man charged with three counts of aggravated battery after allegedly driving into the path of another car on purpose
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Frank Ian Whitenack, 40, was arrested on Friday on a warrant for three counts of aggravated battery after allegedly pulling into the path of another car on purpose.
According to a Gainesville Police Department officer’s investigation, Whitenack’s girlfriend was a passenger in his car on July 11 when he got upset with his girlfriend for cutting him off from her WiFi hotspot. He reportedly stopped in a left turn lane, which caused traffic to back up behind them. His girlfriend reportedly asked him to drive, but he refused and allegedly said, “I will kill you,” then intentionally pulled out into passing traffic, hitting a vehicle that was driving in the travel lane.
The car in the travel lane reportedly hit the passenger side door of Whitenack’s vehicle, causing his girlfriend to hit her head on the window and sustain other minor injuries.
The other vehicle was significantly damaged, and a baby who was a passenger in that vehicle was transported to the hospital.
When an officer contacted Whitenack, Whitenack reportedly said, “I turned into traffic.” Post Miranda, he reportedly gave no reason for doing that but said they had argued about the WiFi hotspot.
Whitenack was arrested on drug charges in 2008 and successfully completed drug court diversion; he was convicted of a misdemeanor stalking charge in 2010. Judge Tatum Davis set bail at $75,000, the amount recommended by Judge Luis Bustamante in the warrant he signed for Whitenack’s arrest.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
It looks like he fathered children of the corn. What an evil one.
Looks like he’s backs on the pills.

Looks like a MAGA right wing nut job hillbilly.
Paulie, sounds like a 12 year old name. Politics from either side is wrong and what is wrong with country. Doubt he even votes. Instead of making a comment that sounds childish. Do you have an intelligent comment? You have a lot of hate in your heart. Please try and relax. Evil is evil in this case.
Yeah Paulie, you need to listen to Stank About IT. He/she they/them knows what they are talking about. Especially when they said Paulie was a 12-year-old name, I mean everybody knows Paulie is 13-year-old name. Stank About IT knows it is magnum (sorry thinking about my condom size) hillbilly who live off the system and waits for food card to be charged every month, only to discover it is no charge because the goberment money went to non-documented residents.
You’re such a pitiful wee jerk “Paulie” you just have to interject politics into everything. All it does is make people want to be MAGA just to annoy your silly butt.
You would know about gicmving nut jobs.
Giving nut jobs.
He is.. can confirm
so get a big truck and put him in a car mand drive into him like a test dummie
Make ‘NO INTERNET ACCESS’ part of his sentence, if that’s all he cares about.
What a kook. His girlfriend needs to make better choices in men than this loser.
What an absolute jerk, risking other, innocent, people’s lives because he’s p.o.’ed at his girlfriend?
Note to girlfriend: get out of this relationship as fast as you can go.
“Whitenack’s girlfriend was a passenger in his car on July 11 when he got upset with his girlfriend for cutting him off from her WiFi hotspot”
Well….I think I’d be pretty upset too if my girlfriend took away her ‘hotspot’ from me.
Oh ha, ha….
That “girlfriend” needs to use Google on her WiFi to do “boyfriend” background checks, first.
One look at his Facebook should be more than enough warning
At the end of the day a baby pays for the selfishness, and likely scared parents due to self centered people. I hope people think twice over small bs
Time to call Morgan and Morgan. Take his wifi, truck, and trailer. Hell, take his dog too.
