Man on probation arrested for attacking woman with metal pipe and damaging her truck
Staff report
Updated on April 14 with pre-trial detention information.
NEWBERRY, Fla. – Ryder Skye Mock, 29, was arrested yesterday after allegedly attacking a woman with a metal pipe, causing significant damage to her pickup truck.
According to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy, at about 3 p.m. on April 9, Mock was arguing with the victim when he started hitting the victim’s truck with a metal pipe; he allegedly broke the front driver’s side window, the rear driver’s side window, the driver’s side mirror, and the front windshield. He also allegedly dented the front grill, along with both doors and the front quarter panel on the driver’s side. The deputy estimated that the damage would cost well over $1,000 to repair.
The victim reportedly filmed the incident, and the deputy reported that the video shows her telling Mock that she wants to leave while she is sitting inside the truck and Mock is hitting the truck with the metal pipe; the deputy noted that the victim was in fear that she would be hit with the pipe.
Mock has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felony property damage. He has three felony convictions (one violent) and three misdemeanor convictions (non-violent), and he is currently on probation in two drug cases; he has served one state prison sentence and was released in 2022. Senior Judge Bo Bayer ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold him without bail until trial. On April 14, Judge James Colaw granted the motion and ordered him held without bail.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

I was curious so I searched the archives with “man on probation arrested” and it listed 15 men and women arrested since the beginning of this year. I wonder what the total is and how much, if any, the percentage changes. Because for this number of people probation did squat.
Must be riding the meth trail again. At least he took the rage out on a truck versus hitting a senior citizen that got him his prison sentence. Big time out needed.
Hopefully he gets a trip right back to prison and stays there a long time. Some people when given a second chance to clean up their act will never learn.
Did they know each other or was it random? Hopefully the court will take note of that.
What was the argument about?
Just a good ole boy. Living it up in good ole springs county
The conservative movement lives in your mind rent free. If Springs Countyvwas a real thing you head would explode. LOL. Keep seeking mental treatment.
