Man on probation arrested for brandishing gun during road rage incident
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tyrae Keonté Alston, 25, was arrested yesterday after allegedly brandishing a gun at another driver during a road rage incident and then burying the gun in the back yard of a residence.
A Gainesville Police Department officer reported that at about 12:15 p.m. on November 11, Alston got into a road rage incident with another driver and leaned out of his car to yell at the other driver before retreating back into his car. The victim said Alston raised a gun, which he identified as an AR-15 pistol, and waved it through the untinted windows. The victim took a picture of Alston’s car, and officers found the vehicle at a home near the 200 block of SW Depot Avenue.
A witness told officers that Alston had hidden the gun in the back yard, and a K-9 search reportedly led to two firearms that had been hidden under a tarp behind the house; one was an AR-15 pistol.
Post Miranda, Alston reportedly confirmed that he had been in the area of the earlier road rage incident and said the guns belonged to a friend.
Alston has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, tampering with evidence, and improperly displaying a firearm. He has four felony convictions (non-violent) and three misdemeanor convictions (non-violent); he is on probation and was also booked for a third violation of his probation. Alston is also facing a sworn complaint for stalking for allegedly following a former girlfriend and calling her 40 times in 45 minutes after following her to a bar and confronting her there. Judge Susan Miller-Jones ordered him held without bail until the probation violation is resolved and set bail at $140,000 on the new charges.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Will you look at that! Citizen status has no bearing on how stupid a person can be.
“he is on probation and was also booked for a third violation of his probation”
Hey Judges…..is three times enough proof to send this low life back to the big house?
