Man on probation arrested for threatening to kill woman and her child
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Isaiah Jowan Williams, 24, of Brooker, has been charged with threatening to kill a woman and her child.
The responding Gainesville Police Department officer reported that the victim produced text messages in which Williams said he would drop the child on his head if he saw him; he also threatened to spit on and slap the woman and expressed his desire that she would “die already.”
Williams has been charged with sending written threats to kill. He has one misdemeanor conviction and is on probation for stalking. Judge Susan Miller-Jones ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s office to hold him without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing. Judge Miller-Jones also ordered a mental health evaluation.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
