Man on probation charged with 26 felonies after traffic stop
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Adasian Chiziere Armstrong, 20, was arrested early this morning after a deputy reportedly found an AR-style pistol and 21 rounds of ammunition in his backpack after a traffic stop; as a convicted felon, Armstrong is not legally permitted to possess a firearm.
At about 1:51 a.m. on December 3, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy saw Armstrong riding a scooter on SW 20th Avenue, wearing a full face mask. Based on the time of night and the face mask, the deputy attempted a traffic stop to dispel his suspicion that Armstrong was involved in illegal activity, but Armstrong allegedly refused to stop; after the deputy cut in front of him, Armstrong allegedly dismounted from the scooter and fled on foot.
The deputy deployed his taser, but he reported that it was ineffective and that Armstrong grabbed and pushed him in an effort to get away. More deputies responded, and Armstrong was brought to the ground by two deputies after they used pepper spray. He allegedly continued to resist and kick deputies after a deputy again deployed a taser.
A search incident to arrest reportedly produced an AR-style pistol in his backpack, loaded with 21 bullets in an extended magazine.
Armstrong has been charged with 22 counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, resisting an officer with violence, fleeing with lights and sirens active, unlawfully carrying a concealed firearm, and wearing a mask on a public street. He has two felony convictions (non-violent) and two misdemeanor convictions (non-violent) and is on probation for drug possession and fleeing from law enforcement. Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $425,000, with a requirement for a GPS monitor and a curfew from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

“Man on probation charged with 26 felonies after traffic stop”
Hey Judges…..think you might revoke his probation and really punish him this time?
There’s a law against full face masks. I think it’s also has age limits?
I like that charge of wearing a mask 😷 on a public street…
only hypochondriacs and woke nutters are still wearing the mask from the “big lie” Covid.
Apparently , Felons and Antifa are still afraid of Covid too!
Will get a plea agreement to misdemeanor masked in public.
