Man previously arrested for stalking also charged with possession of child pornography

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jhoan Sebastian Bravo, 25, was arrested yesterday and charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography after a search warrant executed on his cell phone allegedly found child exploitation material. Bravo was previously arrested on October 27 and charged with stalking after allegedly following a woman and looking into her bedroom. Homeland Security also reportedly confirmed that Bravo is unlawfully in the United States on an expired visa.

Bravo was released on his own recognizance with a GPS monitor following the October 27 arrest and ordered to have no contact with the victim or her apartment complex. His cell phone was seized when he was arrested, and Judge Donna Kreider signed a cell phone warrant on November 14. While searching the phone for evidence related to the stalking charges, child exploitation material was allegedly found on the device, and Judge Kreider amended the warrant to include that material on November 22.

Post Miranda, Bravo reportedly denied at first that he had downloaded or possessed the photos, but he verified that he was the sole owner of the device and that only he had the password for the device. He later reportedly admitted to purchasing the child exploitation material from an unknown source on Telegram because he was “curious.”

Formal charges of stalking and voyeurism were filed today in the earlier case. Bail information is currently unavailable.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
