March 24 evening update: No change for Alachua County

According to the state dashboard, Alachua County still has 37 COVID-19-positive cases, up from 36 at this time yesterday. No deaths have been reported. The average age of those who have tested positive in the county is 38. 5 people have been hospitalized.

The state has 1467 cases (an increase of 240 from this time yesterday) and 20 deaths.

42 COVID-19 tests are pending. 669 people have been tested so far in Alachua County, and 590 tests have come back negative, so 88% of the tests so far have been negative (6% are outstanding).

According to the Florida Department of Health, there are 27 cases in Gainesville, 3 cases in Newberry, 2 cases in Tioga, 1 in Micanopy, and 1 in High Springs.
