Marshall Rawson campaign announces it is the first in the HD10 race to qualify by petitions

Press release from Marshall Rawson for Florida State House

HAMPTON, Fla. – Today, Marshall Rawson announced that he has earned enough petition signatures to qualify for the ballot in the race for House District 10. Rawson is the first candidate in the race to reach the signature threshold and one of the very first to do so in the state of Florida.

“I’m honored that so many voters believe in my campaign and message and have placed their names on these petitions,” said candidate Marshall Rawson. “From Day 1, we have prioritized the people of House District 10. I want to serve in the Florida House so I can defend their liberties without exception, lower the current cost of living with common sense solutions, and keep Florida safe. We will continue to communicate with voters throughout the district, and I look forward to fighting to preserve the quality of life that we all benefit from here in North Florida.”

House District 10 encompasses all of Baker, Bradford, Columbia, and Union Counties and a portion of Alachua County. Rawson collected petitions in all five counties, with the most coming in Columbia County at 380. In all, he had 1,146 petitions verified.

Rawson is a native Floridian and owns and operates Free State Growers, an agricultural business. Previously, he served as a Washington aide and intern to Republican Congressman Paul Broun, as a legal assistant to Secretary of State Cord Byrd, and as a legal intern for the Florida Department of Agriculture. A dedicated citizen-leader, he has also been an advocate across Florida for various issues, including, but not limited to, immigration reform, state sovereignty, Florida conservation, and taxpayer advocate. Marshall is the past Chairman of the Greater Melrose Republican Liberty Caucus and currently serves as the North Florida Regional Director of the Republican Liberty Caucus. He also serves as an officer in the Florida Guard and has been deployed to the Texas border to help stop illegal immigration. He is a UF Law Grad and is a member of Grace Life Church in Lake City. Marshall and his wife, Megan, have been married for 8 years and have five children.

  • Great Job getting in front of the people Marshall and getting on the ballot. Glad to see someone do it the hard way instead of buying their way onto the ballot.
