"Maybe they should create a 'Department of Doing Without'!"

For real. They all need to be FIRED! 29% tax increase is outrageous!

AMEN, NOT trying to bring “religion” into it, but just so happens most politicians do, only bring in religion, when they are running for office. Anyhow, if I’m not mistaken our tax money went to increase the pay from part-time to full-time for the those who were voting for their own pay raises AND also to pay the expenses of women who needed to be transported for abortions to legal locations. I’m a 75 year old single retired teacher. Who will help me pay for my property taxes, because I don’t qualify for a reduced rate? Who will pay my expenses to locations where medical expenses, automobile gasoline, & utilities are less?

They still haven’t really cut spending.

In this case it’s the public who are those “doing without.”
Without fair representation.
Without fair taxation.
Without fair justification.
Without fair satisfaction. There is something some get – gentrification.

All the while, leadership gets self gratification.

In the words of the man that invented the internet “There is no controlling authority”.

They should have a Department of Undoing that is always planning ahead to strategically un-do all of the commission’s poor decisions. Whenever something is passed, a copy should be sent to the Department of Undoing to begin preparing a plan to un-do it. That way, everything could go a little smoother when it’s time to fix last month’s or last year’s mistakes again.

Let’s do away with City Commissioners and only have County Commissioners. Money saved; we have a sheriff. Do we need 2 police chiefs? Remember Chief Jones has another high paying position working for city. Talk about “Good Ole Boy” system.

I’ll keep beating the drum- what we could do without is the entire city government of Gainesville. Get rid of it. Regressives will never quit spending. If you want to stop government from continually taking more and more out of your pocket- money you worked hard to earn- then get rid of that government. It really is that simple.

Well there you have it folks. If ever there was a way to waste tax payers money this is it.
Useless job descriptions filled by do-nothing employees hand picked by the commission.
For those of you in the city limits who still vote RED, I would kindly suggest you pack up and run!
The ship is sinking and you don’t want to be on it.

The only way to effectively restrict excessive liberal government spending is to deprive them of more $$$. So….next time they put another one of those special tax referendums on the ballot please do your part and vote No. They will only end up wasting it and then asking for more.
