Morrow sentenced for possession of child pornography with intent to distribute

BY JENNIFER CABRERA

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Caleb Allen Morrow, 24 was sentenced yesterday to one year in county jail, followed by two years of sex offender community control and then seven years of sex offender probation.

The case dates back to a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) on April 25, 2021, regarding child exploitation material on a Kik account. The video was uploaded on March 6, 2021. The video depicts anal rape of a pre-pubescent female. Kik also provided five other self-produced images and a video that appear to show Morrow. Kik also later provided Gainesville Police Department investigators with two additional child sexual abuse images and a child erotica image.

The account was traced to a phone number and email address belonging to Caleb Morrow, and the upload IP address was traced to Morrow’s residence. Morrow also identified himself in two of the self-produced images from Kik.

According to the arrest report, Morrow initially denied the allegations but later admitted to creating and owning the Kik account. He told investigators that he couldn’t recall how many times or how much child sexual abuse material he’s shared because “it’s all a blur” and was a habit.

Morrow entered a plea of nolo contendere on July 28 to one count of possession of child pornography with intent to distribute, and the sentence was imposed yesterday, following a pre-sentence investigation. He will receive credit for the 12 days he previously spent in jail.
