Motorcyclist killed in Alachua crash

ALACHUA, Fla. – A 50-year-old Gainesville man was killed yesterday when his motorcycle was involved in a crash with a pickup truck.
At about 7:30 p.m. on October 16, there was a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on U.S. Hwy 441 near Publix in Alachua. The driver of the motorcycle, a 50-year-old man from Gainesville, was killed in the crash; he was wearing a helmet. The pickup truck was driven by a 56-year-old Alachua woman; she was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash is still under investigation.
Came by about an hour afterwards appears someone may have ran a red light the truck looked like it was turning south and the bike was on 441 going south
Oh no… prayers to the deceased and family and also to the woman in the truck. Someone dying in an accident and being involved is horrific.
