Motorcyclist killed in collision with deer

LACROSSE, Fla. – A 57-year-old Starke man was killed this morning after he hit a deer while riding a motorcycle and was then hit by a car approaching from the other direction.

At 5:43 a.m. this morning, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on SR 235 near NW 40th Terrace, east of Lacrosse, when he hit a deer and was ejected onto the roadway. A 23-year-old Hampton man was traveling east on SR 235 in a pickup truck and hit the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist died as a result of his injuries. The second driver was not injured.
