A motorcyclist was killed yesterday in an accident that occurred at 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of NW 39th Avenue and NW 24th Boulevard. Gainesville Police Department told us that initial reports indicate that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed, failed to stop at a red light, and collided with the passenger door of a car in the intersection. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
NW 39th Avenue was shut down between NW 19th Street and NW 34th Street for two hours after the incident.
Shame on you for posting pictures like this while there is a grieving family out there right now. No one needs to see photos like this. Absolutely disgraceful
Why not put pictures may be some other idiot who speeds on a motorcycle will see what can happen to them and slow down
Shame on them ? Why ? This is reality! This is what happens when you think you are invincible on a motorcycle. Let’s hope those photos will remind other motorcycle drivers of the consequences high speed does. So please get over your self and focus on the actual point !
