Motorcyclist killed in SW 13th Street crash

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A motorcyclist is dead after an accident yesterday at the intersection of SW 13th Street and SW 21st Avenue.

According to Gainesville Police Department, two motorcyclists were traveling at a high rate of speed yesterday at about 5:30 p.m. and struck a passenger van in the northbound lanes on SW 13th Street. One motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene, one motorcyclist was transported to a hospital in stable condition, and two occupants of the van were treated at the scene.

Investigation of the accident is ongoing.

  • Idiots on motorcycles will never learn what gives them the right to put other people in danger with their stupidity of high rate of speed on 13th Street suppose someone in the van had a heart attack and died from stress of the idiots would really feel sorry for there family

  • 13 th street is extremely dangerous for motorcycles, bike and sidewalks. Please don’t do that .I don’t understand why the put bike lines all over the street for motorcycles or cyclists very stupid decisions in streets that people driving like there’s on the highway ..no way they can’t ride safely. 🙁
