New Zaxby’s in Gainesville celebrates homecoming of partners with mural

Press release from BSBC Zaxby’s
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – It took 12 locations and 7 years, but Boris, Shaun, Blake, and Cotton finally got a location back in their hometown at 7300 West Newberry Road.
“Developing 11 locations in Orange, Osceola, and Pinellas Counties, Gainesville was always out of reach. This site became available through an old friend of Cotton’s and we just couldn’t turn it down,” said Shaun Morris, Founding Partner with BSBC. “Now we have our own location just minutes from where we all went to school and now are raising our own families.”
“As soon as we walked this site, the wall stood out as a really unique feature of the property. During development, we reached out to several artists to see who could transform it into something special and we ran into Audrey,” shared Boris Ochsenius, Founding Partner of BSBC.
Local artist Audrey Jones was selected as the lead on this 221-foot mural with the overall concept being crafted together with the BSBC leadership team. Several area high school students contributed to the project with their time and talents. Jones, also an art teacher, has led beautification, design, and custom art installations for local companies like Bosshardt Realty, Engle and Volker, and Liberty Air. “Creating beautiful experiences that reflect company style and draw customers or guests into a brand is a joyful way to use art and creativity,” says Jones. “My Father Cotton spent more than 90 years in North Central Florida, running cows on this land between Jonesville and where North Florida Regional Hospital is now. It has been bittersweet opening this location in May with his passing in March. It has been great seeing so many people he impacted over the last few months and being able to sit down in our own Zaxby’s here in town, something he was incredibly excited about,” shared Blake Fletcher, Founding Partner of BSBC.
“Being locally owned and operated, we are proud to bring our business back to our hometown and hope our guests, friends, and family appreciate this mural for years to come!” – BSBC

Love the concept of including so many local artists, especially young students. This is beautiful!
Great that kids are being used for this. Can’t wait to see the mess that’s there now covered up with some beautiful art.
