Newberry volleyball advances to Final 4

Newberry High School’s volleyball team, playing at home, swept Trenton this afternoon to win the Region 4-1A Championship 25-15, 25-18, 25-18.
The Panthers had early leads in each set, with some great kills by senior Grace Oelrich, who had 13 kills and 4 blocks; senior Katie Oxer added 9 kills. Junior Abby Pace played great defense with 16 digs and also had 5 aces. Senior setter Sarah Miller dished out 28 assists and 6 aces.
The Panthers punched their ticket to the State Championship Final 4 with the win. They will play Bell High School in Newberry on Saturday, November 7 at 2 p.m., with the winner advancing to the State Championship game in Ft. Myers on November 13 at 3 p.m.




3 months and the masked kids will be in the hospital!
