  • Why is an unelected bureaucrat responsible for hiring and firing of the police chief?

    • She was placed there by a group of bureaucratic, power hungry idiots whose only qualification was that she declare servitude to them. In all likelihood she only had two job requirements and that was one.

  • She’ll probably take forever and still not find anybody, like last year when she needed months to “cut the budget” and never did it.

  • Regardless of who the next Chief is, nothing will improve without dramatic change to the City Commission. They have made this town into a crime mecca and killed the golden goose (GRU).

    They can’t even make a good decision by accident and they never met a bad idea they didn’t like. Thanks to university influence on local politics we all get to see this canary in the coal mine for the rest of our nation. Whoever next Chief is better meet media standard for them to say “First Police Chief that is FILL IN THE BLANK”.

  • Republicans = stand your ground and lots of deaths + police brutality and killings of citizens without consequences.

    • Democrats = Give your ground to any who want it, (for the right price) + no police support X the killing of the defenseless = the continued moral decay within the USA

  • The commission should be required to publicly vote to show support for City manager decisions even when we know the white racist guys made it happen.
