November 17 County Commission Hybrid Swearing-In Ceremony and Farewell Meetings

The Alachua County Commission will conduct two hybrid Special Meetings on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at 11 a.m. and noon. At the 11 a.m. meeting, the Commission will bid farewell to County Commission Chair Robert “Hutch” Hutchinson and Commissioner Mike Byerly. At the noon meeting, the Commission will swear in elected Commissioners Charles “Chuck” Chestnut IV, Mary Alford, and Anna Prizzia. After the Swearing-In Ceremony, the County Commission will elect and install the year’s Officers, and hear Commissioner remarks and public comment.

The public who attend in-person must wear a facial covering at all times. Public seating will be made available up to the capacity that permits adequate social distancing.

Callers will be put in a queue, and prompted when it is their turn to speak. TO AVOID FEEDBACK, CALLERS TO THE PUBLIC COMMENT MESSAGE LINE MUST TURN DOWN THEIR MEETING SOUND WHEN ADDRESSING THE COMMISSION. Callers should state their names and limit comments to two minutes. When prompted for in-person public comment, in-person participants should follow the direction of the Chair to participate.
