October 6 Alachua County Development Review Committee Meeting

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). This meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. Masks for vulnerable citizens are strongly recommended.

The Committee will take public comment in person only. The public may view the meeting on the County’s Video on Demand website. The meeting will not be available on Cox Cable Channel 12.

Extra Space Self Storage at former Tower Hill Insurance (fka Swintstorage) – This is a Revised Final Development Plan to expand the existing 51,199 sq. ft. building by 13,390 sq. ft. and add a 29,740 sq. ft. building to the site on 4.75 acres. It is located on Tax Parcel Number 06336-004-001 at 7111 N.W. 10th Place. Staff Report and Back-up Materials

ISKCON Planned Development (PD) – Bhaktivedanta Academy Phase 1D – This is a Revised Final Development Plan to construct a modular building totaling 3,500 sq. ft. and associated infrastructure on approximately 86.43 acres.   • Now the county is spending millions on a new fire station when they were going to close the one off 241, spent millions on that state-of-the-art station. Stop spending like money grows on trees.
