One killed, five seriously injured in crash near Boulware Springs Park

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A 35-year-old Gainesville woman was killed and five others were seriously injured in a Wednesday night crash near Boulware Springs Park.

According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, at about 8:30 p.m. on May 13, the 35-year-old woman was attempting to turn left out of Boulware Springs Park when a sedan driven by an 18-year-old Gainesville man, traveling southbound on SE 15th Street, hit the woman’s sedan. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

The 18-year-old man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was seriously injured, and two female and two male passengers in his car (no ages listed) who were wearing seatbelts were also seriously injured.
