Staff report from Alachua County Fire Rescue press release
MELROSE, Fla. – One person was seriously injured in a rollover accident in Melrose this morning.
At about 10 a.m. on July 8, units from the Melrose Fire Department and Alachua County Fire Rescue responded to the intersection of SR 26 and Quail Street and found a single vehicle on its side, with one occupant entrapped.
Crews used hydraulic rescue tools to remove the roof of the vehicle and extricate the occupant, who sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local trauma center.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Alachua County Fire Rescue would like to remind citizens to use caution when driving through construction zones, especially those with uneven pavement.

Prayers for the injured. Stay safe on the roads, folks.
It’s 35mph at that intersection! How fast was that person driving?! Prayers they heal soon.
He sure was doing more than 35, more like 55
Once again I note not a word of thanks to the Firefighters who rescued man. So, once again, let me say thank you to all our wonderful Firefighters, you guys are the best, you ARE heroes.
