One trauma-alerted to hospital after accident within Turkey Creek
Staff report
ALACHUA, Fla. – A 16-year-old boy was trauma-alerted to the hospital after hitting a tree in Turkey Creek this afternoon.
Alachua Police Department officers responded to the 6500 block of NW 105th Avenue just before 4 p.m. today and found a truck that had collided with a tree.
The truck had two occupants, a 16-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old female passenger. The investigation found that the vehicle was exceeding the speed limit on NW 105th Ave when it attempted to negotiate a curve, lost control, ran off the roadway, and struck a tree head-on.
Both occupants of the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but the male driver was trauma-alerted to the hospital due to striking his head on the windshield and a possible broken femur as a result of not wearing a seatbelt.
That car insurance bill about to hit a tree head on.
his parents will be pretty unhappy likely with the increase in their auto insurance.

Hopefully that windshield knocked some sense into him.
Just in case, seatbelts save lives, use them…and tell your passengers to do the same. May not get a second chance if there’s a next time.
