Pair arrested for burglary and assault

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Necole Moniquea Jefferson, 39, and Pavielle Simoandante Wiggins, 39, were arrested early this morning after allegedly entering a residence without the victims’ permission and threatening to fight the occupants.
The responding Gainesville Police Department officers reported that Jefferson and Wiggins live near the victims in an undisclosed area, but not in the same building, and both women had gotten into a verbal argument with the adult victim prior to the incident.
At about 11:19 p.m. on September 5, Jefferson and Wiggins reportedly followed the adult victim to her residence, yelling at her.
The officer reported that the victims’ doorbell camera showed Jefferson and Wiggins approaching the victims’ door and yelling at the adult victim; Wiggins allegedly pulled the doorbell camera off the wall when she reached the residence.
Wiggins allegedly entered the victims’ residence without permission, followed by Jefferson, and once inside, Wiggins allegedly said she intended to fight both victims; she reportedly said she was not afraid to hit the second victim, who was a juvenile.
The officers reported that, based on these statements and actions, the victims had a well-founded fear that they would be harmed.
Jefferson reportedly said during the incident that she only entered the residence to ask why the adult victim was “talking bad” about her daughter. On the way to the jail, she reportedly said she did not enter the residence and only stood in the doorway.
According to the arrest report and jail records, Jefferson has been charged with burglary with assault, but the court website lists the charge as burglary of an occupied structure. Her only criminal conviction is a traffic offense. Judge Sheree Lancaster ordered her held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold her without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.
Wiggins has been charged with burglary with assault and misdemeanor property damage. She has one conviction for disorderly conduct from 2012; charges of domestic battery and aggravated battery from 2014 and 2015 were later dropped. Judge Lancaster ordered her held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold her without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.
