Pastor Adam Joy announces Grand Re-Opening of Family Resource Center on May 27

Press release from Deeper Purpose – The Family Resource Center

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Join us for our Grand Re-Opening & Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony of our Family Resource Center (TRC), AKA “The Resource Center,” now proudly funded by the Children’s Trust of Alachua County. We will have special guests in attendance, community leaders, public officials, and some of the many families that we serve.

This is open to the public and will definitely be a time to remember. There will be a visioning session from 11 a.m. to noon, where local Pastors, Community Leaders, Commissioners, and Organization Directors are invited to come and give input.

The actual Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony starts at noon sharp, with refreshments served immediately afterwards. We hope that you can make it out to support this event, now that we are finally funded; helping keep our doors open is truly a blessing. We had to close our doors in the summer of 2025 due to low funding & donations, but the Community Foundation of North Central Florida stepped in and gave us a grant that helped us sustain ourselves for the past 5 to 6 months until we got approved for funding from the Children’s Trust of Alachua County (CTAC).

We are now gratefully contracted by CTAC and are able to sustain center bills, much-needed staffing, as well as things that help meet the needs of our community. There are no other Family Resource Centers that exist on this end of the county, which is why we serve over 600 families monthly. So many families simply cannot make it to Gainesville. Community resources are vital in this day and time, where so many families are struggling to make decisions about whether to fill up my gas tank to get to work this week or put food on the table for my family.

We make every effort to help everyone that we can, but when we cannot, we absolutely try to point them in the right direction of who else may be able to. We look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday! City of High Springs Commissioners and the Board of County Commissioners have been invited, as well as the local Police and Fire Chiefs, other City Officials, and Sheriff Chad Scott.
