Press release from Gainesville Fire Rescue
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Early this morning, Gainesville Fire Rescue responded to a building collapse from a vehicle collision at 924 S Main St. GFR’s technical rescue team placed T and Double T shores due to structural damage. The driver was safely removed and transported to the hospital.
No mention of the car having driven over the middle of the roundabout 100 yards South, and sustaining considerable damage.
Hopefully the driver did as well.
All of that wild-eyed “traffic calming” nonsense and now this happens? What happened, ladies?
WTF the car isn’t a new model, so it unlikely a rental driven by tourists. It’s in a 30 mph zone. But glad GFR are so handy, good job saving it from being worse 👍
That’s one sure way to get your building remodeled.
