Please Do Not Register on the State Vaccine Portal
Press release from Alachua County
This press release published at the request of the State Department of Health in Alachua County.
Alachua County is assisting the State Department of Health in Alachua County to make sure that the 2,900 residents who inadvertently registered with the State’s online vaccine portal are registered on our local portal. A call center, staffed by County employees, will begin calling those who registered on the wrong portal on Monday, February 22, and Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
Residents will see the last four numbers 6556 on their caller ID. On the call, if it is discovered you are not registered on the proper portal, staff will register you by asking for your first and last name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and birthdate. Once registered, residents will be contacted by the State Department of Health in Alachua County by text or email to set their vaccine appointment.
Yes, I registered with State on my last opportunity communicated. Yet I registered with the County on the first day of registration and updated on two other locations before going on the State.
My last communication from County was to register with Publix, Walmart or with another county.
Yes I’m aware of vaccine delays via weather
Yes, I’m aware that counties need to request the doses from the State based on first responders and those over 65
Yes I know that the county should have access to the number of those individuals in our county
No, I don’t know what our county via Florida Heath has requested in vaccines
Yes, I know our county has been far behind on reaching the 65 plus year people “population” compared to the State of Florida
Just my observations!
