Prom-goers invited to special dress sale on March 5 at Santa Fe College

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Recognizing that many high school students may not have the means to shop for their dream dresses for prom, Santa Fe College will hold a dress sale on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m. or until sold out on the Northwest Campus, Building S, Room 29.

The sale will feature new and gently used dresses as well as some accessories. While the sale is made possible by a generous donor, additional donations will be accepted through March 4.

Dresses will be sold for $25. Shoes and accessory prices will vary.

Santa Fe College is home to the Academy of Science and Technology, a high school charter school, which is helping to support the event with the Santa Fe College Foundation.

The donor had a large collection of beautiful dresses that she wanted to benefit the community. She suggested the dress sale for people needing affordable but quality dresses for prom.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to support the Academy and Santa Fe College Career Services Council.

Sale Location and Essentials

• Building S faces NW 83rd Street near South Road.
• Look for the Special Event flags.
• Free parking is available in any “non-reserved” space.
• A dressing room is available.
• Purchases can be made with cash, check, Venmo, and Cash App only; no credit cards.

Donations

Donations of clean, gently used contemporary dresses and accessories can be brought to any Santa Fe College location – no later than close of business Monday, March 3, 2025.

Hanger donations are needed as well.
