April 14, 2020
Press release from Publix
Publix is designating Thursday evenings, 8 – 9 p.m., and Friday mornings, 7 – 8 a.m., as special shopping hours for first responders and hospital staff. This change in hours will begin April 16 and continue until further notice. Publix Pharmacy will also be open during these times.
What about other essential workers..such as, postal employees?
Haha, post office is terrible.
Postal workers do not work 12 hour shifts that preclude being off at all during store hours.
You have no idea how demanding a stressful the postal office jobs are. They might not be first responders to a scene or running around a hospital with sick people, but it’s definitely up there with high stress jobs and high suicide rates and health problems related to stress. Piss off if you can’t find respect for anyone working through these times while you sit on your ass in your pj’s getting paid.
Here is you trophy.” Best Whine of the day”.
Quit being rude ass hats! You postal workers can go in any time you’re off and the store is open. There aren’t police guarding the entrances at any stores asking for proof of your job.
Why not all healthcare workers? Plenty of good work being done in clinics and nursing homes….
