Raising Cane’s celebrates World Wish Day with fundraisers benefiting Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida

Press release from Raising Cane’s

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Raising Cane’s is not only committed to its ONE LOVE® – Craveable Chicken Finger meals – but to giving back to each community in which it serves. To celebrate “World Wish Day”, Raising Cane’s will team up with Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida for fundraisers benefiting the chapter.

From 3 – 9 p.m. on Monday, Raising Cane’s will donate 15% of all proceeds from customers who mention the fundraiser at checkout to the Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida chapter. The fundraiser will run during normal restaurant hours at five restaurants across the area. Participating restaurants in northern Florida include Gainesville (1680 W University Ave Suite 20, Gainesville, FL) and Tallahassee (1917 W Tennessee St, Tallahassee, FL).

“When a child hears that their wish is going to be granted, they get excited,” says Kathleen Hampton, Director of Development, Northwest Region of Florida. “They’ve already gone through so much. Wishes motivate them to go through treatment and give them hope when they need it the most. The joy and excitement that the child and family experience—it’s just something that you can’t describe. We take the burden and worry out of the equation so they can truly enjoy their wish.”

“We are very excited about the opportunity to support our friends at Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida on the 40th anniversary of ‘World Wish Day’!” said Kim Boldus, Area Leader of Restaurants. “We hope the community will dine with us on Monday and help us give back and grant wishes with Make-A-Wish.”
