Rawson: Amnesty for illegals makes a mockery of our legal system

It should give us all pause when we hear politicians attempt to differentiate between “criminal illegals” and “illegals.” They are not generally distinguishing between first-time offenders, which invokes a first-degree misdemeanor, and subsequent offenses that carry a third-degree felony. (FL Stat. 811.102). What they are referring to is whether those illegals have committed an additional crime after illegally entering the United States – and Florida, specifically.
Entering Florida and the United States illegally is a crime!
While fines and sentencing may be applicable under Florida Statutes 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084 respectively, deportation is the more direct form of restitution in this case.
American and Floridian citizens should not have to wait around to see if foreign nationals who invaded and broke immigration law will commit an additional crime or tort of rape, murder, or even petit theft before they are deported.
When our own American citizens commit criminal offenses, we don’t give them such preferential treatment. Why should we give such preference to foreign nationals who illegally entered and invaded our country?
Deportations of all illegal immigrants, while extending the statute of limitations to prosecute all crimes, is the only equitable solution to the immigration crisis and further deterrence.

Not all laws are just. All situations aren’t the same. A cruise ship at sea rescuing drowning humans does not require them to purchase a ticket before boarding. There are lives to be saved. We used to be a great country and strived to set an example to the world. Now our citizens clamor to send people in some cases back to their deaths, in others cases back to a country where they were a child while they lived a life here. He should be ashamed of himself for such an opinion.

Hypothetical generalizations is NOT how immigration procedures operate — except for valid refugees fleeing certain conditions.
And those refugees must present themselves for amnesty consideration AT A PORT OF ENTRY 👌

Mr. Law and Order Rawson should address the Ice agents who murdered 2 American citizens without cause in broad daylight and have not even been identified, let alone charged. Our US government is literally protecting these murderers – they deserve their day on court, but we’ve all seen the videos – for purely political reasons, a low point this local phony is happy to ignore while pretending he cares about the law. That claim is simply not true, and making accusations like that without verified facts is dangerous.
Alleging that ICE agents “murdered two American citizens” and that the government is “protecting murderers” is an extremely serious charge. If something like that had actually occurred and been substantiated, it would be widely confirmed by multiple credible sources, investigated, and subject to legal action. Throwing around statements like this based on unverified videos or assumptions only spreads misinformation and fuels unnecessary outrage.
Everyone deserves due process, including law enforcement officers and the people they interact with. If there are legitimate concerns about misconduct, they should be addressed through proper investigations and the legal system—not social media accusations presented as fact.
If we care about truth and justice, we should be careful to rely on verified information, not speculation or politically charged claims.
Mr. Brilliant is telling us to not believe what we see with our own eyes. To not put together the many varied actions by the Federal Government that clearly implicates them in blatant misinformation and cover up of the crime of murder of protesters.
The Lawsuit (Filed March 24, 2026)
Minnesota officials sued the Trump administration for access to evidence they say they need to independently investigate three shootings by federal officers, including the killings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti.
After being turned away from the crime scene of Pretti’s killing, state authorities took the extraordinary step of acquiring a warrant from a judge and returned to the scene — but were again turned away by federal authorities. On February 13, the FBI formally notified the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) that it would not provide any information or evidence it collected.
Violation of court orders.
Chief Federal Judge Patrick Schiltz wrote that ICE “has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence.” He documented at least 96 violations across 74 cases just in January, noting that tally was almost certainly an undercount.
By late February, the situation had escalated further. Two federal judges together documented over 200 instances where the government ignored court-ordered deadlines, forcing a move past mere administrative warnings to personal summons for top prosecutors and high-ranking immigration officers.
