Registration opens for City of Gainesville holiday parade entries

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Registration has opened for participation in the City of Gainesville’s 2023 A Very GNV Holiday Parade on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The registration form, parade rules, and additional details can be found online. Registration packets also can be picked up at City Hall (200 E. University Ave.) or the Historic Thomas Center (302 NE 6th St.) beginning tomorrow, Sept. 27. Entry forms must be submitted by 10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13.

The parade is scheduled to begin at noon and will cover a one-mile stretch of East University Avenue. The event launches the City’s holiday festivities on Dec. 2, including afternoon activities at Bo Diddley Plaza followed by the annual Holiday Lights Celebration in the Thomas Center Gardens.
