Rescue crews extricate victim after two-vehicle early-morning accident on I-75

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – One victim was extricated from a heavily-damaged vehicle after an early-morning two-vehicle crash on I-75 today.
According to a release from Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR), at about 5:00 a.m. this morning, units from ACFR and Gainesville Fire Rescue were dispatched to an accident at the southbound 386 mile marker on I-75. Crews found a two-vehicle accident, with both heavily-damaged vehicles off the roadway.
One victim had to be extricated with the “Jaws of Life,” which took less than 20 minutes; ACFR reported that the victim had only minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
