GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dylan Allen Sangricco, 27, of Riviera Beach, was arrested yesterday for allegedly stalking a Shands healthcare provider who previously treated him in south Florida.

The victim told a responding University of Florida Police Department officer that Sangricco, a former patient of hers in south Florida, had repeatedly tried to contact her over the past five years; she said she had initially given him her number in an attempt to help him with his procedure, but she has told him not to contact her anymore because it is inappropriate. She said Sangricco had been trespassed from her south Florida practice because of his behavior, and when she moved to Gainesville, the phone calls continued.

The victim said Sangricco showed up at Shands on December 24 and told a witness that he was only there to see the victim and ask her out on a date.

The victim said she has numerous voicemails from Sangricco, from many phone numbers, asking her to go on a date with him. She said she recognized his voice and confirmed that he was the caller in each instance. She said she had blocked his number, but he called from other numbers, including from jail.

Sangricco, whose listed address is in Riviera Beach, has been charged with simple stalking. He has five felony convictions (two violent) and three misdemeanor convictions (non-violent) and is on probation. Judge Julie Johnson ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s office to hold him without bail until trial. On January 2, Judge Robert Groeb granted the motion and ordered him held without bail until trial.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • He needs to be locked up somewhere because next time his victim may not be as lucky. You never know what will set off a person and he may be so obsessed that does something really bad.
