GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Below are the updated City of Gainesville traffic impacts scheduled for Dec. 6-13, 2024. 

New Notices – Traffic Impacts from A Very GNV Holiday Parade on Saturday, Dec. 7

  • Northwest Sixth Street between West University Avenue and Northwest Eighth Avenue is the staging area for A Very GNV Holiday Parade, and will close at 7 a.m. Saturday until the final entry enters the parade route.
  • University Avenue from West Seventh Street to East Seventh Street will close at 11 a.m. Saturday and reopen gradually as the final entry travels the parade route.

Continuing Notices 

SE 13th Road: Southeast 13th Road, between South Main Street and Southeast Veitch Street, will be closed with detours until Dec. 30.

Note: All lane and road closures are subject to change due to unforeseen conditions, such as inclement weather.
