Road construction on the roundabout at SW 24th Avenue and SW 91st Street

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – The Alachua County Public Works Department will be performing road construction on the roundabout at SW 24th Avenue and SW 91st Street on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
The roundabout will be closed as part of Alachua County’s SW 24th Avenue resurfacing project. The construction will require the roundabout at the intersection to be closed to through traffic on May 1. The work is expected to be complete in one day and the roundabout will be re-opened by Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Detours will be in place to redirect traffic on SW 24th Avenue via School House Road/SW 30th Avenue/SW 87th Way. Traffic traveling to SW 91st Street will be detoured via SW 17th Avenue/ SW 88th Street/ Southwest 87th Way.
What about 39th Ave????? You have a bunch of tax payers here!!!!!
If you were a State Employee, You would know NW 39th ave is a STATE ROAD!DAH!
Call FDOT. The only part of that road that belongs to the county is west of I 75. I believe the resurfacing is out for bid or awaiting to be awarded per bidding rule timelines.
Why are they repaving a perfectly good road when 23rd ave, 39th ave, and NW 86rd St. (runs next to Sante Fe college) are falling apart?? Priorities?
