Taxpayers should not have to dig into the SBAC Agenda attachments to find out there are nearly $400,000 worth of Budget Amendments included for discussion at this meeting!
Last year, complaints were that ACPS couldn’t put a Budget Request together for presentation to the illustrious SBAC! These requests should not be rubber stamped approved, but they will be! Oh, some Certain SBAC members will feign surprise and disagree with the requests for more money, but it is just a part of the SBAC Smoke and Mirrors Show!
Also, there will be comments by the newest, and supposedly interim, ACPS Superintendent, on Citizen’s Field. Wonder if what she will have to say will agree with a certain Gainesville City Commissioner’s desire to spend a ton of money renovating and improving facilities at Citizen’s Field in order to secure her own legacy in Gainesville? Could the SBAC and GNCC be circling the wagons? The only thing missing is the worthless AC BOCC! I’m sure they will jump in soon!
Any Budget Increase over an agreed to amount, should be cause for that amount to be included in these SBAC meeting announcements! Of course, the same should be apply to the BOCC and GNCC!
