Sheriff announces increased reward for information about murder of Maliyah Godwin

On Friday, April 23rd, deputies responded to Majestic Oaks in reference to a shooting. Deputies located the victim, 13 year-old Maliyah Godwin, who was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries. Sheriff Clovis Watson Jr. is asking for your help.

Partnering with the Florida Sheriffs Association and their Criminal Apprehension Assistance Program (CAAP) and Alachua County Crime Stoppers Inc., the reward for information in this case has grown to $6,000.
