Shooter at crowded downtown nightclub wounded by security guard

A man who allegedly shot into a crowded nightclub Friday night was wounded after a security guard and a second person returned fire.
Jacquez Shamar Walker, 21, was arrested early Saturday morning after a shooting at a concert held at Shiph Lucci, 6 W. University Avenue. At about 12:45 a.m., Walker, who was a patron of the nightclub, got into a verbal altercation with a security guard and allegedly pulled a 9mm pistol from an ankle holster and fired once into the crowded nightclub.
The security guard and a second man pulled out their own pistols and returned fire, wounding Walker. Walker has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and is being held on $50,000 bond.
Glad that the security guard and bystander? were armed and able to disable this guy.
It could have been so much worse!

Is that they were all really bad shots and nobody got
Killed. The shooter should go to jail for at least 5 years and never be able to have a firearm ever again. The SOA needs to do public service announcements out there that “ use a gun and your done! 10,20, life”…maybe that would stop this BS once and for all. They need to get tough on crime.

Metal detectors at bars are a really ludicrous idea. But, not out of the realm of leftist thinking. Maybe we should focus on teaching our Youth better.

Gosh golly gee, was it a cello concerto by chance? And right next door to the state prosecutor offices? I’m glad there’s people like him to keep judges, probation officers and public lawyers well fed.
