Shooting leaves woman with life-threatening injuries

On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officers responded to a shooting incident at the intersection of NE 16th Avenue and NE Waldo Road.
A female victim was standing in the area of the Green Apple Store when multiple shots were fired from 2 directions. The victim was transported to UF Health Shands with life-threatening injuries.
GPD detectives are currently on scene, collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses

If the city and county wouldn’t have been discriminating against the east side of Gainesville for the past umpteen years, rescue services wouldn’t have had to drive halfway across Gainesville for emergency services.

There is a fire station at Waldo Road and NE 8th Avenue.
Yes genius there is but they are ill-equiped to provide trauma services an ER can provide.
