Single-vehicle crash on NE SR 26 sends two to the hospital

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Units from Alachua County Fire Rescue and the Windsor Fire Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment in the 14000 block of NE SR 26 at about 2:50 a.m. this morning.

Upon arrival, crews found a single-vehicle accident with extensive damage. Both subjects may have been ejected from the vehicle. Both patients were quickly prepared for transport to Shands UF Trauma Center. The accident is still under investigation.

ACFR would like to remind all motorists to slow down in inclement weather and always use seat belts.
