I’m beginning to think Circuit 8 has taken the path the SBAC has taken towards discipline in our schools.
I guess the difference being at least criminals get caught & booked. Unfortunately for society, the courts drop the ball and release criminals back into the wild.
The SBAC has decided most discipline issues won’t be noticed if many aren’t reported. There’s Certain board members who are more concerned with equity than safety.
This has to be demoralizing for the deputies and officers arresting these criminals knowing that most of them will be released just after sunrise the next day.
It is what we in Law Enforcement call the 8th Judicial Circus. It is a joke. That’s why criminals from Ocala and the likes come to Gainesville to commit crimes. Our State Attorney is a weak liberal kiss ass who will only prosecute when it is election season. Also, if he doesn’t prosecute his conviction rate stays high due to plea agreements. It’s all a statics game. Total JOKE!
It means nothing that he has been charged with a felony and having been on probation 10 times prior until he is convicted of said felony.
If he is convicted, then the prior convictions will raise his point score which will lead to a longer jail or prison sentence.
So what’s the issue here?
You guys do know that half of the cases you speak of them being let go, is they got arrest and got bail, the case didn’t go away, they just got bail to be free until the case goes to trial or plea deal.
Yet, all you faux southerners talk as if they get arrested and walk right out of jail scott free with out any pending charges.
This is getting old, and I don’t think you guys would last 5 minutes in we were all in the same room to debate this issues and concerns you keep raising.

Also he gets another chance for every time the state looked the other way when a white person committed a crime against a black person.
When I lived overseas, I came back home and I have 5 tickets from a white boy filed under my record, stuff like this that has been happening to black people in the 8th is why he gets another chance, if he only knew what we have done to him and his people locally not during slavery, but present day.
