Starke woman arrested for “road rage” shooting on Waldo Road
Staff report
WALDO, Fla. – O’livia Williene Davis, 25, of Starke, was arrested Saturday night and charged with firing a weapon from a moving vehicle, three counts of attempted second-degree homicide, and five counts of child abuse after allegedly shooting at another vehicle on Waldo Road.
At about 8:34 p.m. on Saturday, Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report that a person was shot in the 19500 block of NE U.S. Hwy 301 near Waldo; the deputies found three men in a Jeep Wrangler, one of whom had been shot in the leg.
The victims told deputies that a Toyota Corolla had cut them off, and the driver of the Jeep flashed his headlights at the Corolla. They said the Corolla started changing lanes in front of the Jeep, and at one point, the Corolla slowed until it was alongside the Jeep. The driver of the Jeep said there was a gun in the Corolla, then the men heard a gunshot and the driver was shot in the leg. The driver was transported to the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.
An alert was issued to look out for the Corolla, and at about 8:52 p.m., the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office and Starke Police Department found the Corolla and conducted a traffic stop at the Holiday Inn on U.S. Hwy 301 in Starke. The Corolla was reportedly occupied by Davis, a female passenger, and five children under the age of 6. A 9mm handgun was reportedly found in plain view on the driver’s side floorboard, and a spent shell casing was reportedly found in the center console.
The woman who had been in the front seat of the Corolla reportedly said the men in the Jeep had been throwing things at them, and while the Corolla was ahead of the Jeep, the driver of the Jeep flashed his headlights at them. She said Davis told her to lean back as the Corolla came alongside the Jeep, then she heard a “loud noise.” According to the report, “later information” confirmed that she knew Davis had shot at the Jeep.
Because the charges involve children, information about Davis’s criminal history and bail is not posted in the court system, but the Jail Booking Log lists bail at $1,150,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sad. Another diva wannabe. I hope they weren’t her kids, at least.
More kids growing up with parents in prison. That uf the kids were hers. Road rage once again is getting out of hand.
Most likely another paranoid meth head from waldo who thinks aliens are chasing them
Quite the example to set for a child.
Hopefully there’s a father, at least one, who is willing to provide a better, safer environment for the kids.
Until that’s known, looks like another successful result of LBJ’s Great Experiment.
Kids have “All-American Fathers,” a father in every state!
What a bizarre and completely unrelated jump you made.
Father’s Day, in this situation is a very confusing holiday 😜
LESSON TO BE LEARNED HERE!!! DONT FLASH YOUR LIGHTS AT PPL!!! ITS ABOUT TO GET CRAZY AFTER JULY 1ST
and i bet our tax dollars are paying for her housing, food, & healthcare, with 5 children she probably close to 6 figures of free s***?
Lockdown tyranny and isolation triggers the vulnerable
Nice defiant puss on her face, I’m sure she’ll be a REAL JOY for her public defender to deal with!
Don’t think she’s getting a mother of the year award this year?
Ok. So if I were you, id call up the law offices of Dewy Cheetum and Howe, and sue Chrysler/Jeep/ Dodge.
Because clearly, under the factual basis in the report, They took the front doors off that jeep.
Because there is no way “I am entitled” to pull a gun, and fire that gun, wounding the operator of another motor vehicle operator.
What kind of an example is that for the litter of chirrens in the Corrola?
