Supervisor of Elections Office to do outreach at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Ignite Life Center, and Clarence R. Kelly Center

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Ahead of the Tuesday, November 4, Gainesville Special Election Referendum, the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office will be participating in several voter outreach events in Gainesville.
On Monday, October 27, Supervisor Barton and staff will be speaking to students participating in the “Vessel of Hope” Education Program. The presentation and registration drive will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, located at 630 NW 2nd Street in Gainesville.
On Wednesday, October 29, the Supervisor of Elections Office will be presenting at “Seniors on the Move” at the Clarence R. Kelly Center, located at 1701 NE 8th Avenue in Gainesville. Attendees will learn information about the upcoming election and will have an opportunity to update their voter registration information and request or renew their request for a vote-by-mail ballot. The event is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Later that evening, the Supervisor of Elections Office will be staffing a table at “Wellness Wednesdays” at the Ignite Life Center, located at 404 NW 14th Ave in Gainesville. Attendees will be able to update their voter registration information, request or renew their request for a vote-by-mail ballot, and learn more about the upcoming election. The event is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Why of course they are….elected officials working hard to rig another election by targeting heavy democratic areas for a voter registration…..and……we get to pay for it too! Sweet.
Wonder what rational SOE is going to use to get people registered to vote in this special election….. Will they be promoting “Home Rule” angle or will they be promoting the price increases for utilities angle? What justification will this hide behind?
