Supervisor of Elections schedules Candidate Workshop

Kim Barton, the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections, has scheduled a Candidate Workshop at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 7. Topics will include filing for office, qualifying for office, the petition process, campaign finance, campaign advertising, and sign regulations.
The meeting will be held on the first floor of the Josiah T. Walls Building at 515 N. Main St. in Gainesville. Attendance is limited to 25 people, and attendees must RSVP to ycarreras@alachuacounty.us by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2.
I hope not but given the political make-up of this county, I feel fairly confident there will be some discussion on the recent legislation that some say “limits” voters’ rights.
Perhaps they should actually read the legislation.
