Tennessee woman arrested for extortion after allegedly demanding money to prevent distribution of Gainesville victim’s nude photos

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Takierra Denise Williams, 20, of Jackson, Tennessee, was booked into the Alachua County Jail on January 17 for allegedly threatening to distribute nude photos of a Gainesville victim unless the victim continued making payments.

In March 2025, a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officer spoke with the victim, who reportedly said she had been communicating with someone named “Aliyah” on the Wizz app. She said that after they’d been chatting for some time, they exchanged nude photos, but after the exchange, “Aliyah” un-sent her photos and told the victim she would leak the victim’s nude photos if the victim did not send her $200.

The victim reportedly sent the funds via Cash App after a payment through Apple Pay failed, but after she sent the money, “Aliyah” told the victim to send another $200, saying she would delete the photos from her device if the victim paid the additional amount. The victim said she told “Aliyah” that she didn’t have the money, but “Aliyah” continued to harass her about sending the money.

The victim said she told a friend about the situation, and the friend told her it was a scam and she should report it to law enforcement.

The victim gave GPD the phone number that “Aliyah” gave her for Apple Pay and the Cash App username, and the phone number reportedly belonged to Williams, with an address in Albany, Georgia. The Cash App account also reportedly belonged to Williams, and Cash App provided a spreadsheet of transactions that showed the same phone number and a $200 payment. Cash App had an address in Jackson, Tennessee for Williams.

A GPD search produced another report that someone named “Liyah” had conducted a similar scam on a victim in Dacula, Georgia; that incident was reported to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

A warrant for Williams’s arrest was issued in October 2025, and she was arrested at her home in Tennessee and then booked into the Alachua County Jail on January 17.

Williams has been charged with engaging in a scheme to defraud, extortion, and petit theft. She has no criminal history, and Judge Sean Brewer set bail at $100,000, the amount set by Judge Robert Groeb in the arrest warrant.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • She could have started a Go Fund me page to collect donations or she would post her own nude pictures. People might pay to avoid seeing them?
