I wonder how many coaches, (fired), are still on UF’s payroll?
May want to start a cleansing…from the AD down. Personally, given her tenure AND success, Mary Wise should be the highest paid coach at UF.
UF has two presidents on payroll now too. Not very good at hiring and negotiating contracts it seems. More govt waste

The issue is that UF is one of the top 25 teams in college football. Therefore the pay is large but so are the expectations and pressure on a head coach.
Napier was a small school head coach with some coordinator experience at Alabama but he was no great shakes there and got fired.
So how was he qualified for the Gators job ?
In my opinion, we need to open the checkbook WIDE and try to get an experienced coach in here who knows how to build a program and WIN.
Who are “we”? He was signed to a $51.8 million 7 yr contract. If he makes it through this year he will have been paid about $22.2 million leaving $29.6 million, 85% of which ($25.6 million) he will be paid for nothing if fired at that time. Hopefully only bull gators will be the ones opening their checkbooks any WIDER, not citizens of Florida, for this insanity.
Can’t wait for the next new coach. Maybe they can have a $ 38K sushi party for him to celebrate?
