The voter registration deadline for the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary Election is 2 weeks away

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. — The voter registration and party affiliation change deadline for the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary Election is February 20, 2024. This deadline is now two weeks away.
Florida is a closed primary election state, meaning that only voters registered with a political party can vote for that party’s candidates in partisan races.
Only registered Republican voters will have a contest to vote on in the March 19 Presidential Preference Primary.
All registered voters, regardless of party, will be eligible to vote for President and Vice President in the November General Election.
Election Day for the Presidential Primary Election is on March 19, 2024. Any individual who would like to participate in the Presidential Preference Primary Election must be registered to vote by February 20, 2024.
Additionally, any voter who wishes to change their party affiliation must do so by the February 20 deadline for the change to take effect for this election.
If you are not yet registered to vote or need to update your voter registration record, there are numerous ways to do so:
- Online: Florida residents can register to vote online. The online voter registration portal — found at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov — is a safe and secure option for voter registration. You will need a valid Florida State ID (Florida Driver’s License number/Florida ID Card number) AND the last four digits of your social security number.
- In person: The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections office, which is located at 515 N. Main St. on the third floor, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Voter registration forms can also be completed and turned in at any Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles office or any Alachua County Public Library.
- By mail: Forms are available online at VoteAlachua.gov. Completed forms must be received by the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office before 5 p.m. on the February 20 deadline.
Already registered voters are encouraged to verify and update their voter registration status. This can be done at https://www.votealachua.gov/My-Registration-Status, by calling 352-374-5252, or by visiting the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections office in person. Voters are encouraged to make any changes to their voter registration in advance of election day as changes could impact a voter’s assigned polling place.
Federal elections are a joke. This primary is worthless. The current two party system is a front, a con.

A study conducted by librarians of Emory University found that Cureus was in the top 2 of institutional publications deemed predatory or untrustworthy.
Cureus was also criticized for having published a revision of an article that had been elsewhere retracted because of methodological reasons and scrutiny for “possible violations of medical ethics and human rights” (the results of a Covid-19 proxalutamide trial in Brazil).
In April 2022, Cureus published notes of concerns relating to nearly 50 papers published without the knowledge of the corresponding author/disputed authorship. In January 2024, 56 papers were retracted.

As attested to by Republicans and as makes sense, governance is compromise and with 60 vote plurality required in the Senate, even with a GOP House, Senate, and Trump as president, there will not be a better or tougher bill passed. Democrats did not require any of their usual demands for Dreamers, etc and with some moderation gave Langford most of what he and the GO{P wanted. They will not do that again and the now at least 12 year stalemate on immigration and border security will continue indefinitely. This is pathetic as well as nihilistic, but it suits Trump (he of the Mexican paid for wall), and he must be obeyed. The insistence by Republicans that immigration be part of the Israeli-Ukraine funding bill was granted. This is what they did that.

Any pres, including Biden, could sign executive orders that mandate law enforcement agencies to actually do their jobs.
