WARNING: This report contains information about sexual assault that some readers may find distressing.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Cody Jabarie McClendon, 36, of Trenton, was arrested yesterday on a warrant for sexual battery of a 15-year-old victim; the case is part of a human trafficking investigation.
The juvenile victim reported that she had sexual intercourse with McClendon in November 2023 in the front seat of her mother’s car, but it was painful, and she asked him to stop; she said he did not care and continued penetrating her. The incident occurred in the parking lot of The Ridge on 34th (512 SW 34th Street), where McClendon was living at the time. She said she bled after the incident and told an investigator that she had been “ripped open” by McClendon.
A sworn complaint was filed in October 2025, and a warrant for McClendon’s arrest was issued on January 26, 2026. He has no criminal history in Alachua or Levy counties; Judge Jonathan Ramsey ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s office to hold him without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.
The victim’s mother is currently in prison after entering a plea of nolo contendere to child neglect and failing to report child abuse, and Allison Reshena Berry, the woman the victim stayed with while her mother was homeless, is currently in prison after entering a plea of nolo contendere to human trafficking and child neglect charges.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

And…the hits just keep on coming for BHM. Anyone celebrating out there?
Here’s some History for you…it’s not about celebrating but acknowledging the past and working for a better more just future. Looks like we’re failing when POS comments are made.
Sexual violence, including rape, was a systemic and pervasive component of slavery in the United States, used as a tool of control, domination, and economic exploitation. Enslavers exercised near-total authority over the bodies of enslaved people, with no legal protection for enslaved women—or men—against sexual assault. The rape of enslaved women was not recognized as a crime under most Southern laws, as seen in the 1859 Mississippi Supreme Court ruling that a Black man could not be convicted of raping an enslaved woman because the law only defined rape as a crime against white women.
Enslaved women were routinely subjected to sexual abuse by enslavers, overseers, and other white men, often under threat of violence or sale. Many were forced into reproductive relationships to increase the enslaved population, a practice known as “breeding,” which enriched enslavers financially. Harriet Jacobs and Elizabeth Keckly, among others, documented their experiences of rape and forced reproduction in autobiographies, revealing the trauma and psychological toll of living under constant threat.
Until folks start condemning the “Black Culture” instead of making excuses. The Black youth will continue to follow the path of the Thug Life. So many wasted lives because no leader has the B…s to say it. The cycles continue children having children. Content with accepting low standards of living. Leaders locally and nationally only care about making money for themselves. Explain the BLM leaders rise to riches. Look at Sharpton. With the money they have made there should be at least one nationally known hospital funded be these people.
Don’t forget the black slave owners too. Slavery was ended in the USA in 1865. There are several countries in the world that slavery was not ended until well after 1865. That is 160 years ago. Move on.
Another candidate for the wood chipper ….. feet first.
Dellik is what this POS needs to be how you do that to a kid man!
