Trenton man killed in single-vehicle crash in Newberry

A 71-year-old Trenton man was killed in a single-vehicle accident overnight in Newberry.
According to a release from Florida Highway Patrol, the man was traveling westbound on SR 26 near NW 202nd Street at about 2:50 a.m. when he ran off the roadway to the right and onto the shoulder, striking a fence. The driver was transported to UF Health Shands, where he was pronounced deceased. The crash is still under investigation.
